Job purpose

The Vice President Communication & Branding is part of the Executive board of OVG and co-responsible for all strategic decisions throughout the company and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 

The VP is responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s communication strategy, both external and internal, branding, marketing and public relations activities for OVG and builds and sustains the company's reputation for sustainability, technology and well-being. 

Job summary of key responsibilities

  • Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of branding, communications and public relations. 
  • Further expands our thought leadership position by making sure meaningful content is produced and shared through online and offline channels
  • Directs the efforts of the communications and public relations staff and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the organization.
  • Maximizes impact of the brand and increases reputation.
  • Ensures primary stakeholders view the organization favorably.
  • Determines communications strategy and executes programs to deliver communications objectives throughout the organization.
  • Drives corporate strategy and message development, pitch and announcement strategies.
  • Develops communication strategies for delivery of corporate culture and business strategy.
  • Develops branding initiatives and internal communications.
  • Manages press releases and marketing campaigns.
  • Manages media relations and maximize media opportunities.
  • Ensures that all opportunities for the CEO are fully vetted.

Skills required /qualifications

  • Master degree, PR and/or strategic communication 
  • Part of Tech business network and community
  • At least 10 years of experience in in a senior executive position, preferably in a complex (matrix) business setting. 
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills
  • Inspiring people management skills; ability to influence, challenge, guide and engage peers. 
  • Innovator, results oriented, enthusiastic personality and high level of energy.
  • Strong social skills and natural drive to grow network.
  • Is able to build strategic partnerships both on local as well as global level.
  • An ability to conceptualize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with focus and always the end result in mind.
  • Open minded and flexible mindset
  • Understand cultures, differences and other ways of doing business in an international context
  • Able to manage multiple projects and departments at a global scale.
  • Able to build strategic partnerships globally as well as at region level.
